Physical Therapist Assistant

Looking for a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant to join the Therapy Team at Johnstown Pointe!!!

Johnstown Pointe, a skilled rehabilitation and long-term care facility located in Johnstown, Ohio is currently seeking an energetic and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to assist with daily therapy operations. This position will require the candidate to work five 8-hour shifts and maintain a flexible schedule. Quality resident care and overall job performance are a priority for this position. The ideal candidate will strive to gain knowledge of nursing and therapy terminology, procedures, and philosophies.

Responsibilities include assisting our PTs in:

• Assessing, evaluating, and treating short-term and long-term residents that would benefit from skilled physical therapy services
• Completing quality and timely documentation, such as evaluations, recertifications, and discharges
• Directly and indirectly supervising physical therapist assistants
• Conducting quarterly screens and/or evaluations on long-term residents
• Developing and assisting with overseeing restorative nursing programs
• Assisting with insurance authorizations and appeals
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
• Contributing to the overall needs of the facility and facility staff
