November 14, 2022
Meet JoAnn Wright, Johnstown Pointe’s November Resident of the Month!
JoAnn, also known as Jo, was the first resident to live at Johnstown Pointe! She was born in Michigan on January 23, 1930. Jo has lived in the Midwest all of her life, from Michigan to Appleton, Ohio and then to Johnstown, where she lives now. As a child, JoAnn always wanted to be a wife and a mom. She was married to the love of her life, Lee Wright, for 70 years before he passed away. They have six children, five girls and one boy. Her family has only grown with 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren!

Her favorite memory is of her wedding day, November 11, 1950. Her sister, Irene, was her honor attendant the day she married Lee. JoAnn offers these words of advice,
“Make sure you know what you’re doing if you’re going to get married.”
A few more interesting facts about Jo are that she loves fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn. When JoAnn was in high school, she was a cheerleader and played clarinet in the band, and her senior year, she was homecoming queen. She enjoys card games, plays the organ and has always loved traveling with her husband. Her favorite travel destination is Fort Myers, Florida. As for sports, she loves the Johnstown Johnnies and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Congratulations, JoAnn! It's been a pleasure getting to know you better!
